Prerequisite:

1. Select input method "Thai" or any alternate keyboard layout. "Cmd+space bar" should be used for changing keyboard layout

Step to reproduce:

1. Install Firefox 4 Beta 1
2. Put cursor into search field
3. Press "Cmd+space bar"

Result:

Unable to switch keyboard layout.

Expected result:

User should be able to switch keyboard layout. Other language in language bar are disabled.

Cmd+Space is set to Spotlight by default. Have you changed the key settings to an user defined combination?

Henrik, it's my fault.

Actually it's not about keyboard combination, but as you can see in the attached screenshot (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=456490), you have no way to change your keyboard layout while a cursor is in a search field of address field.

Therefore I would like to change the steps to reproduce to:

Prerequisite:

2. Put cursor into search field
3. Click at the national flag on the top-right for changing keyboard layout

Result:

Unable to change keyboard layout, alternate keyboard layout is disabled (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=456490)

Expected result:

User should be able to switch keyboard layout.

I can't reproduce this. Does it also happen for in-page text boxes (like the search bar on google.com?)

I cannot this bug with a fresh profile of firefox 4 beta 1. Seems it because of some addon, will verify by the way.

Therefore this is not a Firefox 4 beta 1's bug at all.

I randomly found this bug on Firefox 4 Beta 1 and Minefield latest nightly build. Trying to reproduce.

10 years later. This has been fixed sometime in the past. Tested and couldn't reproduce anymore. WONTFIX.
