i was working with someone who was hacking on their jetpack add-on with the sdk, and i noticed that each time he made a change, he was generating an xpi and using mozrunner to load it and test. he said he read in the tutorial about testing that way. the language in the last page of the tutorial could be clearer, using words like "deployment" instead of "packaging" for the header, etc. we should make very clear that xpi generation is for when you're done testing, and want to ship your code.
The Add-on SDK is no longer a Mozilla Labs experiment and has become a big enough project to warrant its own Bugzilla product, so the "Add-on SDK" product has been created for it, and I am moving its bugs to that product. To filter bugmail related to this change, filter on the word "looptid".
