Does the beep still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode
(In reply to comment #1) > Does the beep still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? > http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode Hi, in Safe Mode, the beeps are less frequent but still there. With Firefox/4.0b1 it is silent first, but when I click on a tab, the beeps start with each tab clicked/selected and continue. I have 2 Dell C840 laptops and they behave very similarly. The beeps starts from Firefox 3.6.4 and later (3.6.6 and 4.0b1). Version 3.6.3 and earlier did not have these beeps. I have the same add-ons for each version (esnipe.com). I found out that esnipe.com and Microsoft .NET 1.2.1 are disabled in Firefox/4.0b1. So I use 3.5.10 or 3.6.3. Please have all previous Firefox versions available for users to try. No problem at all with my 5 other Dell desktops, all using Window XP SP3, same as the 2 Dell C840. Thanks.
