Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. View SVG Image 2. Control + LMB 3. Drag Actual Results: INstead of a blue box being drawn to define the zoom area the drawing pans. Expected Results: A blue box defining the zoom area.
We've never had this functionality. You must have been using an extension which no longer works.

It was there, without plugin. I will uninstall Minefield and confirm - I have used this for some time on a daily basis with no plugins. Let me confirm and repost.
Confirmed - this works vanilla 3.6.6 and it worked before. I am happy to make an avi to prove it.

On 3.6.6 I mean since that's where the mystery is to me.

Hello- I just confirmed it in safe mode. I selected the check boxes to disable everything. Control+LMB provides the zoom functionality. This is a fresh 64-bit installation of Windows 7. I know of no plugins for SVG external to Firefox or any other browser that currently work with my configuration so I am confident it is not an external application providing this. -- yes I just confirmed this on 3.6.6. I have uninstalled minefield completely.
Ctrl+LMB has never done anything in SVG without some javascript behind it. I'm on Windows too, although it's the 32 bit variety. You get this on every svg file do you? E.g. this one picked at random for instance? http://www.w3.org/Graphics/SVG/Test/20061213/svggen/pservers-grad-11-b.svg
BTW I just noticed the last bit of comment 0. SVG drawings shouldn't pan either without something in javascript making them do so.
Sincere apologies you are correct. I am very sorry I just confirmed the image I am viewing has javascript behind it. Again I cannot apologize enough.

I am a bit surprised there is a difference though. What's the URL of the file that does panning/zooming?
