Hi there, 

Overview: 
we'd like to run the Net Promoter Score survey on the what's new page this month (July 2010). After chatting with Laura Mesa, we think the best place to promote the survey would be as a promo on the What's New Page. Attached is the current T-bird promo, of which we'd like to use the same format. 

Please could you help us create a new promo button? 

Elements:

The text would be simply something like: 

Header: How are we doing? 

Subheader: Help us learn how happy you are with Firefox in 30 seconds.

CTA: Tell us what you think >

The link would go off to a survey-gizmo page. I expect to localize this page into 10 languages. 

I'm very open to the graphical element used in the box promo. 

Timing: 

If possible by early next week - week beginning July 19th? 

The promo will be live on site for only 7 days, however it will be repeated each quarter, and perhaps each month depending on resource.

Thanks Jane. Lee, can you help out with this? Should be a pretty quick & easy one.

Jane, you're looking for the full promo graphic rather than just a button, right? Just wanted double confirm.

Lee, the main thing here is coming up with an image that would essentially go where the Thunderbird logo is in the example attached to comment #0. I can't really think of any existing graphics we have that could be used here, so you'll probably need to put something together from scratch. Could be something basic like a big question mark, or something more conceptual if you're feeling inspired.

Due date, as noted in comment #0, is July 19th.

In terms of the finished graphic.. its for Mozilla.com, but I'm not quite sure what format you need it in?

The updated graphic in Comment #8 looks awesome!  Thanks Lee. 
With respect to the final graphic... It's probably best if we give webdev the PSD file so they can slice and dice it as needed for implementation.  Having it mocked up on the actual What's New page for reference (position / placement) would be helpful too.  That way they can just drop it in without having to guess.
