User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.4) Gecko/20100608 Thunderbird/3.1 When using Vertical view, the quick filter bar gets sometimes truncated at startup. It isn't reproducible always, but happens quite often. An easy fix is to press the loupe button twice. Interestingly, Thunberbird always starts with the bar shrunk, then after a moment (about 1-2 sec) the bar is automatically collapsed. This is functional, but doesn't look very professional. P.S.: I've now read Bug 563428, but since the issue persists, it should be reopened or a new bug opened (this one?) Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. View > Layout > Vertical View, shrink the message list pane, so that the quick filter is collapsed 2. Restart Thunderbird and pray that the issue manifests 3. Repeat restarts if necessary ;-)
Are you using the default theme ?
Yes, I'm using default Luna theme on Windows XP and no add-ons changing Thunderbird appearance. Interestingly, I couldn't reproduce the behavior recently. Might have something to do with the 3.1.1 release? I'll keep an eye on it and report if needed.
I'll resolve it WFM. reopen if you see the issue. Try to look in Tools -> Error console when it happens.
