Attached image mock
Here's a mock I did of the search tools landing page that tries to make it more obvious the difference between search extensions and search providers.

In this mock, the sidebar headings link to the 'All' view for each. The default browse list shows featured add-ons from both. The search bar link goes to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Search+bar

The page is a bit busy now, but I'd rather it be busy and have needed information than make people guess.

chowse, thoughts?
I talked with chowse and we think this mock is good. Let's go with this for implementation before we send traffic to the new Search Tools page.
Assignee: chowse → nobody
Blocks: 578242
Target Milestone: --- → 5.12.2
Assignee: nobody → kumar.mcmillan
Note to self (after talking with fligtar):

Here are all the search providers: https://addons.mozilla.org/z/en-US/firefox/search-tools/

And here are all the search extensions: https://addons.mozilla.org/z/en-US/firefox/extensions/search-tools/
This has been implemented and pushed to http://github.com/jbalogh/zamboni

Note that per discussion with Jeff we decided not to change the title to All Search Tools as the mock-up suggested. It seemed misleading in the case where only one item might appear in the listing.
