with a build from 07142010 downloaded here: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mobile-trunk/fennec-2.0a1pre.en-US.linux-i686.tar.bz2 I observe that setting the homepage in preferences (select current page from the drop down) doesn't set the preference browser.startup.homepage. In IRC this has been echoed by :adifire and :mfinkle.

I am still getting the error with this nightly build Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:2.0b4pre) Gecko/20100811 Namoroka/4.0b4pre Fennec/2.0a1pre
Aditya, can you list your steps to reproduce? Then reopen when you can.
I am having a hard time verifying this because about:config doesn't display for me.
This error occurs during browser-chrome tests I change the homepage to any custom page, the Browser.getHomePage() returns either about:home (for about:blank and about:fennec) or undefined (for others).
