App Tabs should persist across browser sessions, or there should at least be an option to enable/disable App Tabs persisting across sessions.

Session Store should remember the pinned tabs, yes. There is already a bug for that.

Just to clarify and ensure it's been corrected marked as a duplicate. This wasn't for saved sessions, this was by default. App Tabs should be independent of normal session storage rules.

The patch in bug 575560 is just to restore pinned tab at startup (i.e. at Session Restore Initialization). The normal session restore rules aren't considered there.

This isn't the rule of the current implementation as per the other bug. Requesting this to be reopened to provide real usability for App Tabs.

I tend to agree with this - the fix in bug 575560 is only a temporary solution, in my books.
