User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv: Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv: Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

When doing copy/paste from "firefox source window" to "notepad". In "notepad" you will see blank lines that doesn't exist in the "firefox source window". Which means that there is a bug in the copy/paste.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. surf to web page ""
2. right mouse click
3. choose "show page source"
4. right mouse click
5. choose "select all"
6. right mouse click
7. choose "copy"
8. open notepad
9. right mouse click
10. choose "past"
11. goto the end of the text in notepad
12. goto the end of the text in the firefox source window
13. compare the two texts

The two texts (notepad+firefox source window) should be identical after a copy/paste.

This bug has been in Firefox since 2.X as far as I know. And the latest Firefox version (5.0.1) still has this bug. When you copy/paste from the "view source" window, there will always be an extra newline every 10 lines.

Hello, ericzutter i was not able to reproduce this under Windows XP SP2 running Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.1; rv:12.0a2) Gecko/20120307 Firefox/12.0a2.

So upgrade your browser to a new version and try again.
