If user is the author of the package (add-on/library) displayed in "view source" mode there should be a way to directly switch to "edit" mode.
A nicety, but not impeding any repetitive pain points.

it is a pain sometimes - I don't know if for others, but if I'm in edit and I would like to share the link, it's not easy. Same the other side - if someone pointed to me to my add-on I'd like to have an easy option to switch to edit mode
Well I feel like the solution that would easily serve this concern is to simply default the view to editor if the user is logged in and owns the package, and default it to view source in all other cases. Can this be done easily with redirects?

It would involve a few changes to the edit - it should allow to Copy in example. But I think there is no problem with that. Then there will be simply no "view" mode for owners.
