Mozilla doesn't have a search engine page - do you mean that you just pressed return in the search field top right ? That goes to the selected search engine itself, which is <http://www.google.com/firefox> for Google for instance (the default search engine). Can you report the URL that is used (visible in the location bar) ? Or a screenshot ?
