User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; ru; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 Build Identifier: Thunderbird/3.1 User who launched Thunderbird and did not know master password was unable to shut down Thunderbird. Reproduced on Windows XP. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Turn on master password 2. Restart Thunderbird 3. When password popup will appear, type wrong password or press X to close window. Actual Results: Application continues to work, password popup reappears. Expected Results: Application should turn off, or become blocked, but user must be able to close it in any moment.

What happens when you misstype the password , you need to relaunch ?
No, I have to enter correct password or kill process from task manager...
Can you try starting thunderbird in safemode (see http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode) and tell us if it works better or not.
