User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.6; en-US; rv:1.9.2.6) Gecko/20100625 Firefox/3.6.6 After opening the Image Info window for blue product image on the left, Firefox starts to eat up CPU (hovers ~100%) and freezes (beach ball cursor is shown and it doesn't respond to any clicks etc). Image is shown, a bit slowly though, but after image is shown Firefox is hung already. I've verified that this also happens in latest 3.6.8pre (build id: 20100717033614 df760e6d4ddc). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.banini.co.rs/products.sweets.asp?show=njamb 2. Right click on the blue product image on the left 3. Choose "View Image Info" menu item Actual Results: Page Info window is opened, and Media tab selected. Also, after a few seconds, image in question and its information is shown, as it should. But then the cursor turns into a spinning beach ball and CPU usage of firefox-bin process starts to rise steadily until it reaches 90-100%, and then it hovers in that range. Browser is unresponsive to any commands and I have to Force Quit it to close it. Expected Results: Image info to be shown and to be able to close that window afterward and continue browsing. Page in question works fine as long as you don't open the Image Info window.

Do you see this on the latest Firefox trunk as well? We have changed the speed of how that dialog opens for Firefox 4, so it would be nice to know if this is still a problem for you with those changes. Also what are your CPU specs?
I've just tried latest Firefox 4 nightly, and this works great on it. Image info window opens really fast and CPU usage stays as low as it used to be before. My CPU is 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.

I have asked that the patch be back-ported to Firefox 3.6 in the other bug.
