Instead, it appears to enter some text. This should still operating like every other keyboard shortcut and work no matter where the cursor is focused.

Mass moving all Tab Candy bugs from Mozilla Labs to Firefox::Tab Candy.  Filter the bugmail spam with "tabcandymassmove".
