User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.7) Gecko/20100713 Firefox/3.6.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.7) Gecko/20100713 Firefox/3.6.7 Firefox freezes if I multi-task when a plugin (Silverlight or Flash) is running. When I attempt to run it again after forcing it to quit (refer to Actual Results), sometimes it may run again but Firefox freezes once again after I multi-task. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. I click into either the Silverlight of Flash application. 2. I click 'outside' of the application to multi-task (e.g. view other tabs, type a document, etc.) 3. I attempt to go back to the page with the plugin and Firefox freezes. Actual Results: After Firefox freezes, I had to go into the Windows Task Manager to manually click on 'End Process' for 'plugin-container.exe' on the 'Processes' Tab for Firefox to run normally again. Expected Results: Firefox should have been able to run as per normal, and not freeze, when multi-tasking with plugins enabled. Theme: Default theme Plugins: Shockwave Flash 10.1.53.64, Silverlight Plug-In 4.0.50524.0

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode How about with a new, empty profile? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_profile

Reporter -> Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, please try and capture a stack trace when Firefox hangs -> https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg

As from the email (05/11/2010 1:28 PM), I tried to capture a stack trace when Firefox hangs - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/How_to_get_a_stacktrace_with_WinDbg

Severity: normal → critical
It looks like you have an accessibility application listening. I can't figure out which thing it is. Are you intentionally using one? (if so, which?) Someone needs to either identify it from your system or use google for each application listed in the ".tlist" section of your log.

I'm sorry but I do not understand what are you asking me.
So, the problem is that you have lots of processes that i don't recognize. 0n888 AtService.exe 0n932 OmniServ.exe 0n2096 AeXNSAgent.exe 0n3260 RichVideo.exe 0n3288 SeaPort.exe 0n4692 IndicatorUty.exe 0n4700 FUJ02E3.exe 0n4728 ATSwpNav.exe 0n1528 AeXAgentUIHost.exe Some of these (and others, I didn't google the whole list) seem to do event tapping, and some seem to be able to do remote management. Can you try booting *Windows* in safe mode and then using windbg? That should reduce the number of suspicious actors
OS: Windows 7 → Windows XP

(In reply to comment #8) > Reporter -> Have you been able to get a windbg log while running in Windows > Safe Mode? Attached is the latest windbg log. I hope it solves the issue of removing the confusing processes.

(In reply to comment #11) > Reporter -> Are you still experiencing this issue? I've already updated my browser to Firefox 4 then, and not Firefox 5 and the problem seem to have disappeared.
