Build Identifier: Eudora OSE 1.0
With version 8.0b9, I believe that when I got mail with remote images, it asked whether I wanted to display them and did so if I said yes. I just got a message with a remote image and I got no image and no prompt. When I click under Extras preferences "Always display remote images", same result. When I show the source code and display the image in my browser it works.
Reproducible: Always

Does this happen with all messages with remote images, or just with this one?
I don't know, Matt, I rarely receive mail with remote images that is not junk. But I changed to "View message body as Original HTML" and the problem goes away, including when I close and restart Eudora. Thus I think we can forget this problem, at least for now.

Hmm. Sounds to me like the 'Simple HTML' option does not display images. This sounds like an intentional choice on Mozilla's part, and not a bug. I'll leave this open for a while just in case...
This seems to work now, perhaps the problem was with the former version of Ubuntu (was using 9.10, now 10.04) or maybe a single malformed message.
