Details

(Whiteboard: [needs testing with beta 2] [closeme 2010-08-28])

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; en-US; rv:2.0b1) Gecko/20100630 Firefox/4.0b1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; en-US; rv:2.0b1) Gecko/20100630 Firefox/4.0b1

This is my first bug report.

I have a D-Link 502-T ADSL modem/router and when I bring up the web admin page (which is http://10.1.1.1 on my network) all I get is a blank page with a black question mark in the top left hand corner. The weird thing is that this only happens with Firefox 4 beta 1, and when I use Firefox 3.6, it displays without any issues (also works within Chrome, Safari, Opera, Flock and Internet Explorer).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Bring up the web admin page by typing the modem's IP in the address bar
2. typed in http://10.1.1.1
3. Blank page with "?" in the top left hand corner of the page
Actual Results:
No page is displayed, just a blank page with a question mark in the upper left hand corner.

Expected Results:
No page is displayed, just a blank page with a question mark in the upper left hand corner.

Tyler, thank you for the detailed bug report! This sounds a lot like bug 563526, which was fixed after beta 1 branched. Would you be wiling to try a current nightly, or beta 2 when it hopefully comes out later this week, to double-check that things are fixed for you?
looking forward to the new beta, will test and respond as soon as I am able to test it
I have downloaded the latest beta 2, and it has indeed fixed the previously mentioned problem. Well done Firefox team!
