I'm not the right person to review it. I never seen this format before. :)

Comment on attachment 634734 [details] config file Fernando, the config looks perfect. Thank you! IMAP seems to be available, too, but only after activating it in the settings of the web frontend. <http://email.uol.com.br/ajuda/imap.jhtm> I think we should add that. Fernando, can you check whether the IMAP config works, too? We should add IMAP *after* POP3 (lower preference), because people have to activate it. Ben

Ben, can you confirm if 'useGlobalPreferredServer' preference is about using current smtp settings instead of global smtp server with this account?
Comment 7•12 years ago
|
||
useGlobalPreferredServer: If true, we will use an already existing SMTP server from another ISP that the user has configured (if there is one). If false, this account will use this SMTP server. But don't set this or the other flags at all, please. Thunderbird uses reasonable defaults. Can you please add an IMAP config with SSL and test that it works? Thanks, Ben

ok, thanks for your explanation! I tested IMAP settings, they seem to work! I'll replace config file with new settings...

Perfect.
Thanks a lot, Fernando. I have never received such a good config at first try. Well-done.

Comment on attachment 638393 [details] config file v2 (including IMAP settings) Fernando, could you maybe please do one more thing? There's a settings page inthe webfrontend where you need to enable IMAP. Is there a direct URL to that (I know you must be logged in first)? We can add this as <enable visiturl="..."> <instruction lang="pt-BR">...</instruction> <instruction lang="en">To use IMAP, you must log in to webmail, go to "Settings", go to page ...blabal... and click "Activate IMAP"</instruction> </enable> https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Thunderbird/Autoconfiguration/FileFormat/HowTo#Enable_visiturl

Comment on attachment 638791 [details]
config file v3.1 (visiturl for IMAP)
I'll add
<instruction lang="en">To use IMAP, you must log in to webmail, go to "Settings", click "Activate IMAP"</instruction>
when I commit this. No need for another attachment.

where can I find all ISP's currently on ispdb?
Comment 22•12 years ago
|
||
Fernando, sancus: https://svn.mozilla.org/mozillamessaging.com/sites/autoconfig.mozillamessaging.com/trunk/ (The difference is that the live server shows all domains hosted by the ISPs, while SVN only shows config files, each possibly with many domains.)
