My IE 8 UA on Windows 7 is: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0) If you load https://support-stage-new.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/51 and click on "More system details", you'll see there's no information at all.
http://support-stage.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/54 WFM. Are you sure that question _had_ system details (it's gone now).
I get it now: when you use a non-Firefox browser to ask a question, the More System Details section is blank unless someone fills in the form by hand (because automatically sniffing that info is not exactly useful). We should probably either hide the link or improve the UI instead of showing a blank white box.
Summary: [k] No system details for IE 8 on Windows 7 → [k] More System Details should be hidden when it's empty
Target Milestone: 2.2 → ---
Severity: major → trivial
From what I can tell, the User Agent always appears in the modal now so it should never be empty.
