User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.7) Gecko/20100713 Ant.com Toolbar 2.0.1 Firefox/3.6.7 Build Identifier: thunderbird 3.0.5 update notification stated "Update 3.0.6 available" then when trying to connect states "error connection refused" Restart T/bird, check for updates, go to more info, the T/bird home page shows Update 3.0.6 available; BUT the actual download is for 3.1.1 !!! the T/bird updater and home page info need to be UPDATED to match the version ! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. see above panel Actual Results: see above panel Expected Results: obviously expected to get to the actual specified update
I'm not sure what was going on here. The only thing I can think of is that 3.0.6 and 3.1.1 were released at the same time as per: http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/about/press/archive/2010-07-20-01 but we only offer that latest 3.1.x on the homepage. Which is standard practice as that's what we want users to upgrade to. The update mechanism can only offer an update to one particular version at any one time, so in this case, for a 3.0.5 user, they would need to upgrade to 3.0.6 and then they would be offered 3.1.1. Assuming this is the case, I don't think there is anything to do here - everything is standard practice as far as I can tell.
