I have TB 3.1.1 and it says it is the latest version. I see the pdf attachments at the bottom but cannot open or save them. It says it could not open them because of an unknown error, yet I can forward them to another mail program and open them there. HELP!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Click on attachment icon.
2.
3.
Actual Results:
Could not open them because of an unknown error

Expected Results:
Should have allowed a direct open or Save As feature of file
and you rename mimestype.rdf in ~/Thunderbird/Profiles/*defaults/ ?
I have a similar issue.
When I try to save pdf attachments I get an error. It says me about "Incorrect file name" and suggests me to check the file name.
I've upgrated recently from 3.1.10 to 5.0.
Before it was OK.

Reporter do you still see this problem when using recent version of
Thunderbird?
Whiteboard: [closeme 2012-03-01]
It was in version 10.0.0.
I've just updated to version 10.0.1 and it works properly now.
Thanks.
