I called their customer support, they were friendly and supplied the following information:
Incoming Server: pop.secureserver.net or imap.secureserver.net
Out Going Server: smtpout.secureserver.net
To Use Mozilla Thunderbird with Your Email
1. From the Tools menu, select Account Settings.
2. From the Account Actions menu, select Add Mail Account.
3. Complete the following fields, and then click Continue.
Your name
The name to display on your email
Email address
Your email address
Password
Your email account password
4. Click Stop, complete the following fields, and then click Re-test Configuration:
Username
Enter your full email address.
Incoming and Outgoing
Enter your mail server, select the server type, enter your server port (detailed below), and select the encryption method.
Your server port varies depending on the server type and whether or not you select to use encryption.
Server Port
IMAP without SSL - 143
IMAP with SSL - 993
POP without SSL - 110
POP with SSL - 995
SMTP without SSL - one of the following: 25, 80, 3535
SMTP with SSL - 465
5. Click Create Account.
6. Click OK.
I'll attach a config file reflecting that.

I asked for a test account, but they couldn't give me one, I'd have to purchase a domain. :-(

Called again, and another guy told me that not all customers have IMAP access, in fact most don't and can only POP.
So, it's a bit like Yahoo.
So, we can either default to POP and offer IMAP as option, or entirely remove IMAP, under the fear that users might select it and it won't work. For Yahoo, we don't offer IMAP either.

Config, v2, IMAP disabled
I would _strongly_ prefer to offer IMAP as the non-default choice, instead of disabling it entirely, because people who do have IMAP will complain about us if they can't set it up, and because people will probably talk to their ISP's support number if they choose IMAP but haven't enabled it.
And shouldn't that customer service number go in a documentation block?
And shouldn't the id be the same as the domain?
Thanks,
Blake.

I worry about offering something that doesn't work, but given that you feel strongly about it, I concur. Will attach a new config that includes IMAP.
> And shouldn't the id be the same as the domain?
The ID should be a domain name, so that was a typo.
The ID is not necessarily the same as the domain. But I can make it so here.
> And shouldn't that customer service number go in a documentation block?
No, the documentation block is just to record the webpage URL where the config is documented. It's not a free-form comment field.

Actually, I find "secureserver.net" too generic, so I'd prefer the filename (and thus the ID) to be the company name, which is wildwestdomains.com.

Per strong wish of bwinton, this enables the IMAP config, even though only a minority of users can use it. At least it's not the default.
Also fixed the ID to contain .com.

I had added them as SVN revision 72139 a week ago (wrongly thinking gozer had already reviewed).
No wonder they don't appear in top missing anymore! :)
