The log in comment #1 shows "Got 150, expected 50" rather than the 147, 47 in the bug summary, but the similarity is so strong that I've marked this as being the same bug.

ehsan, dao, any thoughts on what happened here? We had a three month layoff with this, and then starting on January 19th, possibly not coincidentally with a run from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?fromchange=10a75a4655f1&tochange=64c98e4e1797, it jumped into the top 10 (number one for the last week).

Bug 542677 can't be relevant, since I've had to back it out. Panorama changes might have affected this, though, since they remove the button which used to sit in the tab bar. Dao, could that have had any effect on this?
It's not clear to me why the button would make a difference, but yes, that change is the only sensible candidate.
Updating the bug summary, since the number here is going to depend on the width of the scroll buttons, and those are currently being updated.
