Lets promote the mainstream user newsletter on the mozilla.com home page, I reviewed this with John Slater a few weeks ago.

One of the headlines can be replaced (or add a new one at the bottom) with a phrase about the monthly newsletter that is now available. We'd like to go very wide to promote it and let people opt-in if they wish.

I'll look to John Slater's team to determine the best phrasing for the headline and the sub-headline in Mozilla-speak.

Dependent upon: Bug #576413 the Landing page (signup page)
Can go live after the landing page is live.

Thank you!

This is the area of mozilla.com home page where we would appreciate having a headline and subheadline to promote the mainstream user newsletter.
I can easily do this one once the landing page is live.

Want to do this now?
Can we go live with the home page promo blurb for the newsletter? -Eve
John, do you have a home page blurb for us to promote the newsletter? Thank you. -Eve
Sorry for missing this. Can you give me some direction on what you'd like it to say? (following the headline/subheadline format of the homepage)

Also, what should the link be?
John, appreciate your wordsmithing but here is a suggestion:

Stay connected and help us grow (HEADLINE)

Join the monthly newsletter for the latest news, special events and more

Hey Alex. I'm trying to push the en-US/index file on https://kubla.mozilla.com/queue/prod, but am running into this error again:

Warning: require_once(/data/www/www.mozilla.com-svn/includes/helpers.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /data/www/www.mozilla.com-svn/en-US/index.html on line 2

Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/data/www/www.mozilla.com-svn/includes/helpers.php' (include_path='.:/usr/share/pear:/usr/share/php') in /data/www/www.mozilla.com-svn/en-US/index.html on line 2

I'm assuming the same situation applies from the last time you helped me with this. Would you mind pushing the change live (it's just an update to the What's New links on the homepage) without anything else accidentally changing?

Thanks much.

Do we need bug 600666 to get resolved first, or can we go ahead and get this pushed?

Sorry for the errors, I'll try to clean that up today. In general, please be very careful with Kubla to make sure you know exactly what you're pushing. There are tons of changes going into mozilla.com these days, many of them overlap with other projects on the same page, and Kubla doesn't handle that case very well.

Thanks Alex. Given that pretty much every page has multiple things going on these days, I think I'll refrain from using Kubla any time soon. I'm not doing anything different from what I did before, but there's so much more complexity happening now...

Ya totally, the old process just doesn't work so well anymore. We could look at improving Kubla, I think it could still be an important and useful tool. Anyway, if you need anything pushed, I can help, it's usually a quick process.
