User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 2.0.0.24 (20100228) I received an email yesterday signed by a contact in my address book. It was spam. I also received several yahoo messages today saying mail undeliverable to certain email addresses in my address book. I didn't send email messages to these people. Reproducible: Didn't try
It is most likely that spammers have discovered addresses of people on other parts of the internet, and they happen to be in your address book. Spammers have probably also been using your email address to send emails - it is not possible to stop email addresses being faked, although you could use some sort of signed email to confirm emails sent by you have actually been sent by you. There is no bug in Thunderbird here, so marking as invalid.
