Something changed between 4.0b1 and 4.0b2 and I am no longer able to right-click tabs. All I get is the standard context menu for right-clicking anywhere in the UI.

I recently switched OSes from Windows 7 to Windows XP. Before doing so, I copied my Firefox profile folder and am currently using it. Probably not the smartest idea on my part.

This bug may be correlated with next bug I'm going to report.

Created a new profile and confirmed that it is an issue only with my default profile. Perhaps somewhere in the profile it's listed what OS I'm on?

Would be good to know why that happens. I assume you still have your old profile. So please create another one and copy all profile content into the new folder. Then start with removing files and check Firefox in between those steps, if the issue can be seen. Once you have detected the file copy it into a fresh profile and check if it is causing the problem too. You can attach it afterward to that bug. Thanks.

There is a bug 581646 for the situation where the tab context menu doesn't appear (on the empty space or the new tab button). However, a right click on the tab itself should still work.

Disabled Tab Mix Plus, and both this and bug 582873 ceased. Reproduced in blank profile by installing Add-On Compatibility Reporter and Tab Mix Plus.
