I'm not sure why not every thread is like this (e.g. http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/forums/contributors/704535#post-5855 isn't), but I suspect these are actually two separate accounts. I once used djstsys, though I thought I renamed that one to djst, rather than creating two accounts.
Even if that is the case and this is an issue with that old user, could we please rename all instances of not correctly transfered nicks as "OldForumNick" or "invalidUsername" or something?
Yeah, I agree. FakeUser sounds really concerning.
Because of the way Tiki stored authorship information, if you renamed djstsys => djst, posts made by djstsys would not "follow" and be linked to djst. Instead they were thrown into a sort of limbo, where the post knew its author was djstsys but that user didn't exist.

In the migration to Kitsune, there were something like 200-300 similar unowned posts. Rather than try to figure out who should own all of those, we gave them all to this FakeUser.

Once 2.2 goes out, it will be relatively easy to change the name. Right now it would require manual changes in both Tiki and Django.
Fair enough, 2.2 is just around the corner. Thanks for the explanation.
Shows as AnonymousUser now.
