My open-with list contains quite a few programs yet it is a nightmare to find them because the programs are loaded in a random order. Could we not make it for Firefox 4 that this list has the programs appear sorted Alphabetically?

Another option would be to have a search box to filter the list further?
Welcome your views on this.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Download a file with an unknown filetype.
2. Choose Select a Program to open the file with.
Actual Results:
The programs listed are in a random order.

Expected Results:
Sorted Alphabetically to make it clearer.
Version: unspecified → 3.6 Branch
Severity: minor → enhancement
Version: 3.6 Branch → unspecified
How is it an 'enhancement'? There is no any reasoning for a current behaviour.
Severity: normal → S3
