Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. make sure you have set firefox to open new windows in tabs instead
2. search for "profilwörter" "siebe" at google
3. click on link provided in URL from search results -> window will get shrinked via page javascript
4. maximize window (e.g., via double click on window title bar)
5. go back -> rendering window has size that of step 3, although display window is maximized
Actual Results:  
wrong rendering window size

Expected Results:  
rendering window size that of display window

Simpler steps to reproduce:
1. directly go to link provided in URL
2. maximize window
3. go back in history

Bug unrelated to opening new windows in tabs.

Reporter, Firefox 4.0.1 has been released, and it features significant improvements over previous releases. Can you please update to Firefox 4.0.1 or later, and retest your bug? Please also create a fresh profile (
http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles), update your plugins (Flash, Java, Quicktime, Reader, etc) and update your graphics driver and Operating system to the latest versions available.

Actually, I can reliably reproduce this bug with Firefox 4.0.1 on this very page. :(

Steps to reproduce:
1. Log out from Bugzilla (so clicking on a link does not open a separate tab/window) and reload this bug report
2. Make sure your Firefox window is maximized
3. On this bug report page click on the URL I provided at the top of the page -> javascript on new page will change window size
4. Maximize window
5. Go back in the history to the bugzilla page -> result: rendering window is that of the previous (unmaximized) page
