1024x600 is the maximum resolution of several Asus Eee PC models.
After attaching a link to a task, the Description field is less than one line tall. It is difficult to read, and even more difficult to write there.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set the desktop vertical resolution to 600 pixels
2. Create a task
3. Attach a link
Actual Results:
The "Attachments:" field takes up a lot of space, and there's less than one line of vertical space left for the "Description:" field.
Expected Results:
The Description field, being multi-line, should always take up at least two lines of vertical space, to be readable and navigable.
Possible fixes:
The "Attachments:" field takes up three lines of vertical space even if there's only a single link attached. Changing this to increase according to the number of links (but not above three) would ameliorate the problem.
Make the line between Description and Attachments movable, so I can decide which field should be the bigger.
Make Repeat or Reminder an icon instead of a field iff they are much less used than other fields.
Customizing the task toolbar, I tried to check "Use Small Icons", to no avail. It would be useful to know that small icons are only used when showing only "Icons", not when "Icons and Text" is selected. This makes for about 1.5 lines of vertical space for the Description field.
The "space line space" vertical division of fields takes up a lot of space. How about just a space? Especially between the Repeat, Reminder, Description, and Attachments fields, since each of them is alone in its division.
Workarounds:
* Move the window partly above the top/below the bottom of the screen, and resize.
* Increase the vertical desktop resolution (i.e., buy a schlepptop)
* Decrease the font size for desktop applications (haven't tested it)

Related: Bug 501005
Changing the toolbar to small icon display requires Lightning 1.0b2.
Maybe some space can be regained by using an optimized theme or by using some custom userChrome.css rules that reduce vertical spacing/padding.
