When you go to youtube using HTML5(WebM) and adjust the volume with the thing on the video, the time meter freezes, but the video keeps playing. I'm not totally sure if this is on WebM's end or our end because i can't seem to find other browsers with WebM enabled... STR: 1.) Enable HTML5 on youtube by going to http://www.youtube.com/html5 2.) Go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMWi7CLoZ2Q , wait for about 15 seconds and adjust the volume 3.) Look at the time meter, it's probably frozen. ER: Time meter doesn't freeze AR: Time meter freezes
I observed the same symptoms once on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LZfpKQv2aY "HTML5/WebM Test" video. Was not able to reproduce the problem after that one time. But consistent problems I've observed in both the "Nom Nom" video and "HTML5/WebM Test" video: 1) The progress bar kept moving OK for me while adjusting the volume. 2) Once the volume has been muted, the speaker icon is stuck with the red "X" and the volume indicator is stuck in the minimum position, even though the volume can still be adjusted, muted, unmuted. 3) After the video is finished, clicking on the Pause button will replay the video but does not reset the progress bar. Even though seeking still works, the progress bar stays at the end-of-video position. Same
Additional comment: Further investigation shows that the volume indicator freezed after a few seconds, whether it has been muted or not. The volume can still be adjusted, it is just that the volume indicator has been frozen.

Sound like a dupe of bug 578804.
Bug 578804 deals with the video freezing when the volume is changed. In this case, video playback is not affected and audio playback is not affected when the volume is changed.
