Several of the SUMO devs have a general feeling of hmm-this-is-confusing when going through the AAQ workflow, but we don't want to change the design without input from the product folks. I'm opening this bug to keep track of some of the specifics so we can bring them up at some point after the 2.2 launch, bang them against user feedback, and decide what to do. So, specifically...
* Progress indication. There isn't a[n Amazon-checkout-style] progress indicator, so you have no idea how lengthy a process you've gotten yourself into.
* Wording. For example, I was on the Ask a New Question page and clicked Provide More Details. I was surprised to land at another page that says "Ask a New Question". Didn't I just ask my question? I don't want to ask another new one.
* Disorienting scrolling. For example, after I first type my question and click Ask This, my question goes flying to some other part of the window, given a short enough viewport, because we redirect to a named anchor. We do this to help ensure the search suggestions are visible, but it is disorienting. An AJAX alternative might improve the experience for the bulk of users.

We have solved 1, 2 and 3, but it is still not where we'd like to have it. There will be a bigger rework, once we can figure out where we are standing with regards to click through rates. I'm closing this bug since the specifically mentioned issues were fixed.
