Recently i've migrated a machine from Windows to Ubuntu, and this user used Thunderbird in windows... so i've copied the folder and pasted in /home/user/.thunderbird . Now, SOMETINES when i'm opening a file (more precisely .pps) it says me that (it's in french, so i'm trnalating...) that the auxiliary aplication doesn't exist... and when i try directly with the download window it says that i don't have have enough rights to create in that folder...
The folder where all those files go is in /tmp wich is a root folder... i think maybe that's the problem... but i don't see how to change the default folder where all that stuff is downloaded. (where i change the aplication for file, there's an option to change it, but it doesn't change anything!)
I've readed somewhere that sometimes is a problem with the name of the file, special characters and things like that... could it be?
Hope someone can help me! See you soon!
Reproducible: Always

reset you mimetypes.rdf file and that might go away.

That might be a bug or just an issue in you prefs.js file , please check that file.

You would be served for support in french at http://geckozone.org
This really look like a support ticket. bugzilla is not a support forum (see geckozone or http://support.mozillamessaging.com for that).
If you really have one bug, please file it.
