Sunbird would be almost infinitely more valuable if, in a WinXP+ environment, it could be run as a service.  It's the difference between running the program a few times a week and having it run full time.

Thank you for your attention.  Sunbird is as close as I've found to a replacement for my very lamented DOS "Instant Recall," which as a fabulous program.

why do you want it to run as a service, it's no server-program... I'm guessing you want it to minimize to the tray, there's an extension for that:
