Actually there are two anomalies: When I customize the Mail toolbar everything is fine - until I restart - After restarting all settings are lost and the mail toolbar is setr back to default. Strange thing is that in the menu for chosing which toolbars to be seen I have two "Mail" toolbars. The "other" one keeps my customized buttons BUT disappears everytime I restart. (shows in cusatomized mode when reenabled)

My guess is that it is the second Mail toolbar that causes my problem. But HOW DO I GET RID OF IT?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Customizing Mail toolbar
2.Restarting
3.
Actual Results:
customizations are gone, mail toolbar is back in its default state

Expected Results:
customized buttons should be there

I have 3 mail toolbars, named Mail Toolbar, Mail, Mail. The last one shows the back & forward buttons. When I deselect this within View > toolbars it disappears but reappears on restart
Two reports identical to comment #1 in the GetSatisfaction thread cited in the URL field. Note that neither removing localstore.rdf nor safe mode resolve the issue, thus neither a screwed-up customization nor an add-on as primary cause.

I resolved the issue by uninstalling Tb, deleting two residual folders (unfortunately can't recall names) left in the Tb programme files folder, reimstalled Tb. I used the same profile so the issue had nothing to do with any files therein but something in the original Tb installation folder.
Bug 534888 reported same, but no reponse, so was marked incomplete.

Is this still seen on TB12?
