User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Windows task manager reports a greatly increased memory usage by firefox if the browser is kept running overnight. Subsequently, the browser becomes partially unresponsive and only restart (kill / start again) recovers normal usage. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start firefox, open atleast 3 tabs to different URLs 2. lock the system (OS), do not go to standby 3. Check after 14-16 hours. Actual Results: Firefox became almost unresponsive, required to forcibly close the browser to initiate normal operations Expected Results: Firefox should be responsive and remain operational.
can this be reproduce in safe mode? https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode which URLs?

No reply, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.11 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
