User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b2) Gecko/20100720 Firefox/4.0b2 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; Windows NT 5.1; rv:2.0b2) Gecko/20100720 Firefox/4.0b2 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729) When I type in something in the address bar, auto-completion works and my key-word searches are evaluated, but the page does not open. Doesn't matter if I hit enter or use the "Go"-arrow. So text-wise, perfect. Navigation-wise, nothing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. CTRL+ D or point and click in the address bar to gain focus. 2. Type in complete URI or partial to use auto-completion. 3. Hit ENTER or click the "Go"-button to access the corresponding page. Actual Results: Nothing happens... Text field in address bar doesn't even lose focus. Expected Results: The browser would access, retrieve and display the page corresponding to the URI in the address bar. Worked fine, then suddenly stopped. Not caused by add-on installation. I uninstalled FF 4.0 Beta2 (kept information) and installed it again, but the issue remained.
Does this also happen in Safe mode? I had this problem too, it was caused by Tab Mix Plus.

no answer, please try also Firefox 4.0 since work was done to improve the situation. Reopen only if you have consistent steps to reproduce in this latest version.
