We need to enable the localization of SUMO in Akan [ak].

Kasahorow, this is one of the better places to get the community to help out directly.

And, Kasahorow, we'd need "Akan" in Akan again to set this up, please add that here, utf-8 encoded. Thanks.
If we can get the localized locale name before our code freeze for 2.2.3, this will be added this month.
Target Milestone: --- → 2.2.3
Priority: -- → P3
"Akan" in Akan is "Akan". I hope this helps?
Target Milestone: 2.2.3 → 2.2.4
Target Milestone: 2.2.4 → 2.2.5

I get a "Page Not Found" error when I try to navigate to https://support-stage.mozilla.com/ak/kb/Clearing+private+data in order to translate

Yes. We are rewriting the Knowledge Base functionality in 2.3: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&product=support.mozilla.com&target_milestone=2.3, so things are broken right now on staging. I'm not familiar with the l10n process, but Kadir (a.topal@redronin.de) should be able to help you out further.
For what it's worth, Akan is also on production, and you can still translate there.

It's also worth noting that the new KB work is not on support-stage, but rather on master.support:

http://master.support.mozilla.com/

Though we have not migrated the KB articles yet.
Thanks Stephen and James for your comments. And thank you Paul for the link. I translated the page.

Hey Kasahorow, thanks a lot for starting localization of SUMO into Akan. The page you have translated is not visible to users yet because we have a two stage process at SUMO: editing + reviewing. Once the edit is reviewed it can be accepted and is then visible (in case your are the only localizer editing and reviewing would of course be done by you). There are a few other things you should know about SUMO and we have great documentation for that here: https://support.mozilla.com/ak/kb/Localizing+Firefox+Support

Also, please sign up for the locale leader mailing list here: https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/sumo-locale-leaders

And you can of course always contact me if you have any question about SUMO or localization.

Welcome to the SUMO team!
