When you use control and page up/down to switch between tabs it works correctly until you go beyond the first/last tab. In particular when you do that it switches to the first group.
See the video for exact behavior.
Using control+tab has the correct behavior.

Mass moving all Tab Candy bugs from Mozilla Labs to Firefox::Tab Candy. Filter the bugmail spam with "tabcandymassmove".

It is to do with the app tab. App tab belongs to a group and if the select the App tab, it automatically switches to app tab's group.
The patch in Bug 586712 should also fix this so it doesn't switch to app tab's group if it's selected.
