Steps to reproduce:
1) Visit feed https://addons.mozilla.org/cs/firefox/browse/type:1/cat:all/format:rss?sort=newest
2) You will see something like...

0
11. srpna 2010 1:29

Surfmark Extension 0
10. srpna 2010 19:17
...

I'm not sure what char "0" does in these positions.

New add-ons which are hosted external have the version number 0 (bug nr?), seeing them in the updates feed is bug 568989.

No. This RSS is for featured add-ons. I'm talking about feed for "Recently updated" add-ons (and "Recently added" as well). Visit front page, choose "Recently Added" and there is subscribe link below.

Both URLs in comment 7 / comment 8 are old (Remora) URLs; you won't and don't see those 0s in:
