Details

Having set the layout.spellcheckDefault to 2 in my about:config, I find that I still have to manually select spellchecking in both textboxes and textareas.

I am unsure when this started so I don't have a regression range for you I am afraid.

I have verified that I am not the only one having this issue as others have confirmed this on Mozillazine.
