Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100723 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: When switch between different languages a lot, one has to do many actions in order to switch the input language. For spell checking, the suggestions are directly offered in the right click popup menu. It is desirable to do this also for selection of input language. When implementing this, the following should be considered: 1) By default it is working like it is currently working. 2) When a short list of available languages is configured in preferences by the user, only then, these languages will be offered directly under right click popup menu. For some languages, many dictionary variations are installed at once or via a myspell package but the user is usually only interested in a small selection one of all these variations. E.g. German/Switzerland versus German/Lichtenstein 3) An icon can be offered in the customisation of the navigation tool bar displaying the flag of the selected language. E.g. Swiss German is a combined Swiss German flag. When this icon is clicked, the same short list will popup in order to switch easily. When no short list is configured, the entire list will popup. Implementing this will enable faster switching between input language and promote more ease of use. Reproducible: Always
