User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.2.8) Gecko/20100722 Firefox/3.6.8 Entering the URL http://192.168.100.1 accesses the Motorola Cable modem Status page. Firefox 4.0 Betas can connect to the main menu but cannot connect to the sub menus for reading logs and diagnostics. This works in Firefox 3.6.8, and previous versions, as well as Internet Explorer 8. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Enter 192.168.100.1 in the address bar to get to the Status page. 2.Click any of the options on the left side. 3. Actual Results: None of the options take you to the proper page. Expected Results: The options display the various diagnostics pages.
It's difficult to do something without such a cable modem.
(In reply to comment #1) > It's difficult to do something without such a cable modem. I'm sure that it is. Any other information needed would be happily provided. Or was this just a comment?
Paste any messages that show up in the Error Console when you load it.
Version: unspecified → Trunk
And try in a new profile in case it's some kind of redirection failure caused by an add on.
(In reply to comment #3) > Paste any messages that show up in the Error Console when you load it. No error messages show up in the Error Console when 'right-clicking' on any of the links. The URL opens a screen named Status http://192.168.100.1/RgStatus.asp that page contains these links Signal http://192.168.100.1/RgSignal.asp Addresses http://192.168.100.1/RgAddress.asp Configuration http://192.168.100.1/RgConfig.asp Logs http://192.168.100.1/RgEventLog.asp Help http://192.168.100.1/RgHelp.asp as well as a icon that links to the Motorola website. However I have just now discovered that *all* of these links open in a new tab when 'middle-clicked' (wheel) using FF 4.0 beta 2 and 3. And a 'cut-n-paste' of these links will open these pages.

Did you try a new profile with no add ons whatsoever?
(In reply to comment #7) > Did you try a new profile with no add ons whatsoever? Yes. On three different machines.
Re comment 5: Your STR is unclear to me. What exactly isn't working and how so? In comment 0 you said nothing worked when clicking on the options on the left side. In comment 5 you say you get no errors on right-clicking on links. Please be specific as to what the problem is: does it not do anything when you left-click to open the links or do those pages not open but try to do so? A year or two ago I had this hardware to test, but I don't anymore. Someone else here might, but I think you may have to report this to the manufacturer if you can't provide us with error messages for whatever the problem is, and even if you can get us error messages the problem may likely be on their end.

With a right mouse click on any of the option selectionss it appears that the pages start to load *in the same page* and then fail. Nothing is printed to the Error Console. A middle-click (mouse-wheel) on the any of the same options do work and the proper page displays in a *New Tab*. A mouse-over of the options selections will allow a 'copy link location' for that option that can be pasted into the Address Bar and that works to display the selected page in the *same page*. All three of these functions work with FF 3.6.8 and the same mouse clicks. And the have worked with previous releases of FF. And, as I said earlier, they also work with Internet Explorer. I also understand the problem of not having the hardware with which to test this. I have the workaround now, the solution if you wish, if a true solution can not be found. But it is only a matter of time before someone else discovers this. Thank you for your time and effort.
I am unsure when this was 'fixed' but this problem no longer exists in Firefox 5.0
