A single space is inserted before the first word of all emails, whether composed as HTML or text or a mix. Composition settings are at default.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. compose an email in either HTML or text
2. ensure first word is flush left on first line
3. send email to any recipient, cc self

Actual Results:
A single hard space is inserted before the first word.

Expected Results:
The email looks exactly as it did when I composed it (with no space added before the first word).
Looks like bug 564737, however you state that it also occurs when composing in text. Are you actually using the plain-text editor (e.g., holding the Shift key down when clicking on Write) or are you just not using any format so that the message is sent with plain-text encoding only?
Mea culpa. It does seem to be bug 564737, which I did not find in my first search. To qualify my description of the situation, this happens when I compose in HTML but without specifying any formatting. If I click Enter and start on the second line, the space isn't inserted. Well, it is, but one doesn't see it because it's on the first line.
Thanks for confirming, I'm resolving this as a duplicate then.
