This is a odd issue. If you open the properties dialog (STR), than the active button is grey instead of blue. Also the checkbox. If you move the mouse over it, than it turns to (normal) blue.

STR:
1. Rightclick on the Inbox (or the Trash...) and select "Properties...".
--> The properties dialog opens and the button and checkboxes are grey (1).
2. Move the mouse over the button and the checkbox
--> It turns to blue (2).

I only see this in trunk builds, not in 3.1 builds.
The regression range for this is:
Last good nightly: 2010-07-15 First bad nightly: 2010-07-16

Yesterday I found out, I see exactly the same issue in the "New Contact" dialog in the addressbook. So its not only the properties dialog (but hopefully the same fix).
Looking into if this could be a theme issue.

Does this still happen on trunk? I can't reproduce it.

I can still reproduce on my 10.5 trunk nightly. The selected button is grey until the mouse hovers over it.

Patch coming up then!
In the meantime I also recognized the same behaviour in a few other menues and dialogs, the properties dialog seems not the onliest affected.
What dialogs was that? It seems this only happens in sheet style dialogs, and the effect goes away on hover.
I can't spot any special css being applied with DOM inspector. Does anyone know if there are any sheet dialogs anywhere in Firefox so we can see if it's happening there too?
So I just ran across a similar behavior in Firefox (trunk).

Switching component to Core as this seems to happen in Firefox as well.

Yes, I also can reproduce it there in FF4.0. If this is so visible, I wonder if there is still a bug for this...
I thought I'd seen one but I can't find it now.
Severity: normal → S3

Antony, can you reproduce this?

Wayne, tested this and no issue - TABs greyed but howv er they stay grey. Hoever over an unsekected Tab, lighter grey, that goes dark when selected.
All as expected
