After we discovered in bug 360562 that browser.download.autoDownload actually works, we never documented it anywhere that I can find.

We should document it.
Note that the pref has been renamed to 'browser.download.useDownloadDir' in bug 407883.

(and that isn't documented either, afaict)
I'm pretty sure I was the one who did the rename patch, too :-\

But yeah, we definitely didn't document anything.
Summary: Document browser.download.autoDownload pref somewhere → Document browser.download.useDownloadDir pref somewhere
We don't document every hidden pref, only those we think will be useful to a significant subsection of the Camino userbase. I'm not convinced that "act contrary to every other Mac browser besides Firefox when downloading" is a useful pref to document (particularly as we spent many years WONTFXIing the small number of requests that came in asking for it, even though the code had been there since 2002).
Yeah, but the fact that we had so many requests that we had to WONTFIX suggests maybe documenting this is worthwhile.

Since this bug is about documenting it with respect to Camino, not really.
There've been no requests for this behaviour in a year and it's not a normal Mac behaviour, and there have only ever been a small number of requests for the behavior over 10 years, so I'm going to WF this.

If we get a sudden rash of requests for the behaviour in the future, I'm open to reconsidering.
