Hello
When I want send a mail with the Webmail of SFR only, then message is send but the object is lost (undefined). I do the same thing with Firefix that is correct fully.
(I dont no if that is with other webmail, but it is a difference between
Seamonkey and Firefox)
ps : Seamonkey is ok with Orange webmail and Free Webmail
See after :

SFR is my "FAI" (frensh abrevation for my ADSL connexion)

I contact just jet with SFR : but I have no technical answer. Could you analyse the sfr "formulaire". I get in this link :
http://www.cijoint.fr/cjlink.php?file=cj201008/cijw5R4GD7.zip
the HTML page of Seamonkey-navigator ant the screen copy of then and the screen copy after sending this message.
I don't no if it's suffisant for you.
I am to your "disposition" for any test.
My english is't very much fluently. I am Frensh
IMPORTANT remark
in the mailboxSFR-figure of Firefox there is two "onglets"
Boîte de réception and "le sujet FF" as the objet (see the new link)
http://www.cijoint.fr/cjlink.php?file=cj201008/cijyKsMHZh.zip
in the mailboxSFR-figure of Seamonkey the second "onglet" is "chargement..." and no "à récupérer" as the objet.
Why the second onglet is'nt the same whith firefox and Seamonkey

Reproducible: Always

You can answer my for testing on SFR Webmail : I open it a specific address
As you describe it, this is a bug of the webmail system, not of SeaMonkey.
Why Firefox is OK ?
I guess the website filters for Firefox and wrongly gives it other code to execute than SeaMonkey. I can only guess, as without an account I can't test anyhow, but we've had such problems with websites wrongly filtering often enough.

Do you want my SFR account to make any test?
(I can kill this account after all the test : de.newton2@sfr.fr , psw: sfr2newton)
Y don't undestand : when I read a message with object, the object get as title of the "onglet". When I try answer (for exemple), that onglet is "nouveau message" whith Firefox and it is "chargement..." with Seamonkey. I am trying to change any parameter in Seamonkey (with comparason to Firefox parameters) but no chang.
I have now a new technical contact with SFR, but they don't have Seamonkey plateform to test.
Bertrand
For complement:
R. Kaiser or any one : with seamonkey 1.1.8 there is the same error... The image is not quite the same : there don't have "onglet".
Do you try with my SFR account ?
Bertrand
Excuse my bad english for "any one" read "anybody"

and for "onglet" read (I think) tab. Par exemple si plusieurs pages Web sont ouvertes dans le même navigateur, il y a un onglet pour chacune (for instance if several web pages are open in a single browser, there is a tab for each of them).
Similarly: Nouveau message → New message, Chargement… → Loading… etc.

Many web sites erroneously detect SeaMonkey as a different web rendering engine than Firefox, and construct their HTML and/or Javascript code differently. Sometimes the "User Agent Switcher" extension may help temporarily but the real solution consists in convincing the webmaster to clean his act (see http://geckoisgecko.org/ )

Thanks,
I tranmit the french text to SFR, if they be able to read this type of remark
I get to try search and install "User agent switcher"
Hello,
The navigator K-Meleon has the same default : it is with gecko.
The navigator Opera does'nt have this default : it run correctly.
How we can mistaken SFR so that SFR think be with FireFox from Seamonkey navigator ?
With user agent switcher, I try with the explanations of Ed Mullen given in news of seamonkey support. But that does'nt run.
Have-you an other methode ?
1) Enter "about:config" in the address bar and click the button to enter this advanced settings screen.
2) Right-click in the list, go to New > String.
3) Enter "general.useragent.extra.notfirefox" and click OK.
4) Enter "NOT Firefox/3.5" and click OK.
5) Now go to your failing web service again and see it work - if that's the case, they are doing bad spoofing.

(CCing BenB because he doesn't believe in the rise of such cases)
Hello,
Thanks Robert Kaiser that run OK.
I send the remark of Tony to SFR, but no answer at this time.
Sinserly

Well, it's not fixed, but it's actually a Tech Evang bug, i.e. one where someone needs to work with the website to make them do the right thing.

According to Whois, it is still registered. OTOH, traceroute cannot resolve the _exact_ names cijoint.fr and www.cijoint.fr. Some other prefix maybe?
