I have two IMAP accounts. One on account, I can use drag/drop to move one folder into another folder. On the other account, however, Seamonkey won't let me do this. Dragging the folder name over another folder name does not cause the second folder name to be highlighted.
I don't know if this is a legitimate Seamonkey bug, but I get no indication from Seamonkey why this operation works on one IMAP account but not another.
Reproducible: Always
I forgot to mention that I can use the webmail interface that my ISP provides to move folders into subfolders on that IMAP account. I just can't use Seamonkey to do that.

Component: MailNews: General → Networking: IMAP
Product: SeaMonkey → MailNews Core
QA Contact: mail → networking.imap
When I first created the problematic IMAP account, attempting to delete a folder gave me an error message about the target folder not accepting inferior folders (the mail server is Dovecot, which apparently has this problem). Today, however, when I try to delete a folder, Seamonkey warns me that deleting folders cannot be undone, and whether I want to delete anyway.
So it looks like Seamonkey is aware of some limitations of the IMAP server and works around them, but it appears to incorrectly assume the the Inbox cannot contain subfolders. Maybe it thinks that since the Trash folder cannot have subfolders, then no folders can have subfolders?

If you changed the setting about folders have both sub-folders and messages, the error message will change.
I have that setting turned on, and yet I cannot move any folders into the Inbox, so I don't think that setting is working correctly.

That setting won't change the server so that it can make sub-folders of folders it can't make sub-folders of.
I understand that. My point is that the server *can* make subfolders of folders (or at least, of the Inbox folder), and that I'm telling Seamonkey that the server can make sub-folders, and yet Seamonkey won't let me move subfolders into the Inbox folder, or any subfolder inside the Inbox. I can only move subfolders into the "root".

Do you still see this problem when using a current version??
