in Bug 583605 we created a nightly-testers mailinglist that should help our nightly-tester community to report regressions and to inform about important code landings where we need extra eyes on it.

It was now suggested to make (beside this as mailinglist) also available as newsgroup.

You can't do that as an addition :-( If you want a newsgroup/mailing list/Google Group triple it has to be set up that way from the beginning, because the list is kept on a different machine.

I think the most appropriate location for the group would be mozilla.dev.quality.nightly-testers (mailing list name: [e-mail]).

We can create this, sure, but you'll need to ask people subscribed to the current list to move to the new one.
